In November 2009, Youth Ambassdor Alexandra, designed & hosted an event for a group girls at the Maryvale Girls Home.
Maryvale mission is to help neglected and abused girls achieve fulfillment, dignity and self-esteem in an environment of stability, love and respect. The theme of this ‘A Star in You’ event was “It’s what’s inside that counts’; focusing on building important qualities of hope, healing and harmony through a super fun art project.”
Through creating beautiful bracelets with meaningful charms & enchanted treasure chests, the girls were able to combine art & inspiration with themes of empowerment and self-worth.
